Article marketing requires you to narrow down your writing into a specific niche.
A niche is simply a narrowing of the population you’re going to reach.
Many people come in to article writing and article marketing wanting to reach everyone. “Well, my message is to the world.” That’s nice, but unless you’re Yahoo or Google or Coca-Cola and can afford to put your message on the side of every bus and billboard in the world, it’s not going to work. It’s too big a net. You want to cast a net big enough to capture your ideal client, but small enough to where they will know it’s for them. On a regular basis, millions of us dutifully send payments to companies that host our websites. Given the growth that the Internet has experienced, it is no wonder that many of these companies have flourished.

Many article submission site do not offer a separate resource box for you to fill out. I am not sure why they do this, but a number of sites use this format. Unfortunately, many writers will just shrug their shoulders and submit their article. I’m sure this is the case because a large number of articles that I see from those sites do not include any links from the authors.

I’ve written previously on similar subjects and I always get questions or comments. Many people say that although they wrote a number of articles, they didn’t make any real money.
The problem for those people is the fact that they quit writing too soon. It is impossible to achieve great wealth by submitting five articles to three submission sites! Given those numbers, I can almost assure you that you will not make any money. It was not until my twentieth article that I made my first penny. My second sale came on my thirtieth article. I began to see consistent business come in after two hundred articles. So, don’t think that you are a failure if business is slow and you’ve already written ten articles. You’ve only just begun!
